Pickleball etiquette: ten rules from the USA Pickleball sportsmanship guide
Short answer: USA Pickleball's sportsmanship guide has ten points, including: treat everyone with courtesy, know and apply the rules fairly, call your own faults, rotate fairly in social play, make safety a priority and be a supportive partner.

The guide says the Official Rules take precedence in any situation. Here is a summary of its ten points.
- Courtesy. Introduce yourself, no foul language, meet at the net after each game, accommodate adaptive players.
- Know the rules and cooperate where they do not cover a situation.
- Line calls. Respect opponents' right to call their end, call your own shot out if you see it out, and question calls respectfully.
- Call faults on yourself at once, including foot faults, and admit if the ball touched you.
- Replays only when a hinder affects your team's ability to play the ball.
- Social play rotation. Do not jump ahead of waiting players, rearrange paddles or call a lower score to avoid leaving the court.
- Safety. Return stray balls without disrupting other courts and warn other players loudly if your ball enters their court.
- Stronger players should avoid hitting excessively to a weaker player or slamming the ball at people.
- Playing up and down. Be willing to play with less-skilled players, and ask nicely rather than demand to play with stronger ones.
- Be a supportive partner. Avoid criticism and negative body language, and coach only when asked.
